I’ve been finding myself torn apart by the winged creature we usually call Cupid. I don't get the logic why Cupid was chosen to represent love? When I think about love and passion, the last thing that comes to my mind is a naked, chubby little boy coming at me with a bow and arrow?? I’ve decided to put down some thoughts on the whole thing, not getting too personal, don’t worry :)
After watching the beauty of a flower, only to be soon withered away, falling on ground eventually,I couldn’t help but think of relationships. Weird though, I realize, but it’s a fact in most cases – or at least I would imagine.
As we know all good things must come to end and that love is no exception. This is further strengthened by watching the ocean. The waves can have so much power at times – so much passion. But alas, they too perish and bust back into the sea to disappear in the vast ocean forever..You can never say if it was the same wave that hit you before.
This led me to wonder, is it simply the nature of the universe? A storm followed by silence? A wave followed by a crash? A rise destined for a fall?
At the same time, even if the above thoughts are true, I can’t help but to be tempted to fall in love again. Who cares if there is eventually silence, a crash, or a fall? Isn’t it worth the ride? All good things may indeed come to an end, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take the journey.
Besides, there’s always that next rise. And sometimes, that next rise is better than the last. Sometimes just waiting for that next rise is better than the last. So what if you have been kicked out by Cupid last time, I just realised you can fall in love a million times :)
